ITIL Release And Deployment

What is now called ITIL version 1, developed under the auspices of the CCTA, was titled "Government Information Technology Infrastructure Management Methodology" (GITMM) and over several years eventually expanded to 31 volumes in a project initially directed by Peter Skinner and John Stewart at the CCTA. ITIL is an acronym for IT Infrastructure Library. ITIL Application Management set encompasses a set of best practices proposed to improve the overall quality of IT software development and support through the life-cycle of software development projects, with particular attention to gathering and defining requirements that meet business objectives.

Ability of an IT component to perform at an agreed level at described conditions. The PRINCE2 methodology works with most project management techniques. ITIL Release And Deployment PRINCE2 provides a Method for managing projects within a clearly defined framework.

ITIL V3 Certification

The plan defines the actions necessary to prevent, detect, and mitigate the effects of potential disasters. A current, up to date Operational Documentation Library ("ODL") is required.

The Service Manager Level certification is the highest achievable IT Service Management certificate.
